Hello,
I joined last week the LAA and registered the forum today. I spent a few time reading the forum, and have a first question.
I just purchased the Smyth Sidewinder G-BRVH built by Mr Bellamy between 1989 and 1992, and am looking for an insurance contract. I got some contacts in France, but it looks it will be easier on your side of the Channel. I asked a quote to HR Jennings, do you all us their services, or are there some other good insurance companies in the UK?
looking forward,
Bertrand

Bertrand,
Many LAA, BMAA & hang glider pilots have a good service, with very competitive premiums, from Onrisk.

Give Joint Aviation Services Ltd a call:

They do a very good "power by the hour" scheme (50 hrs per year) which provides full hull cover for a very reasonable premium.

Truth is, there are very few syndicates at Lloyds who do aviation insurance so you can shop around but will nearly always get one or two underwriters. It comes down to the service, trust and promptness of the broker when dealing with matters as usually, you have quite a lot of money tied up and don't want any hassle if you are unfortunate enough to claim.
