Investigating a STOL fly-in

Post by bencmaster » Mon Dec 29, 2008 5:40 pm

Does anyone think there would be any interest in a specific STOL fly in/meet?

I'm suggesting 'STOL specific' to avoid any bold non STOl'ers having a go!

do you consider a PA28/140 to be STOL?

Stol meet sounds fun but depends on location - where do you have in mind?

No. Fraid not, I was thinking Austers, Wilgas, Cubs, Luscombes perhaps a Lysander or two (cloud cuckoo land I know)....but you never know who's lyrking out there.

Basically you'd have to be able to land backwards in a strong wind

So I will go off and continue my rally against small aircraft that nobody normal can fit in and now I have proof that you are all discriminating against me by having fun events at short runways.

I am sure there is a song about that somewhere.

Enjoy your flyinn,

Its not difficult to see why business is slow around here.

Anyway, if any interesting STOL types want a day out and a cup of tea at an interesting strip, in an interesting place...email by all means:
