January 09 Magazine

It's the 28th of January and this months magazine has just arrived on my doormat. Does anyone else have the problem of late delivery? I get items mailed from the UK all the time and it arrives the next day or 2 days after posting. Why is the LAA magazine so late of arriving? Maybe the LAA needs to look at a different delivery system for overseas subscribers. I am in southern Ireland.

Hi Jon, we have been experiencing problems with the foreign mailings. They are dealt with by DHL, but there seems to be an unacceptable delay which thus far we have had no explanation for. The Jan issue was with most members within the first few days of the month, so yours took three weeks longer - ridiculous!
We are about to send a note to all foreign recipients we have email for, asking them to note the delivery dates for the Feb/Mar and April issues so we have some evidence of just how serious/widespread the problem is. If the office does not have your email address, maybe you would like to send it to [email protected] with a short note asking to be included.
Can't promise an instant fix but we are aware of the problem and are trying to do something about it.

Still haven't got mine, but it may have gone astry as I've moved, despite telling the main office. Have to see if next months gets here ok

Hi Ivan, the Feb issue will be posted tomorrow or Friday so it is too late to change the address now if it is wrong. Can you email me your address, I will be at Turweston tomorrow and can check if it has been changed, if not I will get Jan and Feb issues posted and your new details put into the database.

I will touch base with Penny. I really like to get the magazine early for the classifieds.
By the way, it is excellent this month (Jan) and enjoyed what I have read so far.... hopefully the delivery issue will get sorted.

Hi Ivan, your address has been changed, but it was after the Jan mag had gone out. I have asked them to send you a Jan issue and the Feb issue (mailed today) should arrive OK. Let me know if it doesn't.

If anybody has not received their mag by the end of week 2 of the month then the likelihood is that it has gone astray. Give the office a call and they will send a replacement.
