First comment is that the website is currently being reviewed, and I did see an initial draft for a new home page while I was up at Turweston on Thursday. No doubt progress will be made as time permits, it is on the agenda and it is taking shape.
Pete, I see you belong to the secret society theorists. Personally I believe it's a complete load of BS, but I am prepared to be enlightened by somebody who obviously knows a lot more about the LAA than I do. Just what is the problem, what is the evidence that there is a problem, and what is the solution. Maybe if I can understand the problem I can contribute to the solution. I'd hate to think there was a load of stuff going on behind my back that I didn't know about.

Hi Stuart, I was not trying to label anyone, sorry if my point did not come across correctly, I suspect there are more enthusiasts than pilots, I started the thread to try and highlight/find where the LAA need to focus some attention on. The forum is for the members, but not all the views of the membership. I have tried to keep an open debate, in the hope that someone higher up the LAA ladder may find our ramblings of interest.
From what I see here most are aware that providing a better image is of importance to the LAA. However how much can be sanctioned to finding this balance is another matter, in other words "it won't happen over night". In my view the staff at HQ do a fantastic job, most of them know me through the PCS and Engineering, as members we are but small cogs in a big wheel, as most, I am well aware of how much effort goes into keeping it turning at the center hub.
Going back to the forum, my point is that the more groups we appeal to the more members we are likely to gain, after all, we all have different interest in a particular field of AVIATION.
Regards Will.
