Hi,
I've just seen wat appeared to be a very large single engine bi-plane, with an engine that sounded like a big WW1 replica, fly North over Leicester Forst East (VRP).
It was silhouetted, but it seemed very big and loud. I'd be surrised if it was an An-2, as the engine sounded, hhmmm, not very kneen.
Does anyone think they know what it was?
Or for that matter what is the biggest singled engine WW1 replical flying?
Will.
What was that?!

Bristol Fighter? I saw one of these nearly take to the air at Skysports Engineering the summer before last, so perhaps it's fully airworthy now. (And it's surprisingly large!) Though not a replica of course...
By the way, there's a beautifully refurbished Antonov An-2 at Hinton -- looks splendid!

There is also a relly nice AN2 Thje Baltic Bear based at Tatenhill which the owners use for display purposes.
On board it also has a TV which is connected to cameras monitoring some outside staions on the ship, it is fitted out like a gentlemens carriage complete with armchairs and an on board WC demanded by the owners wife
