Has anyone used LFAV Valenciennes?
How practical is LFAV Valenciennes as a French entry/exit point? Customs/ food/ fuel /flight plan support etc.? I have never heard anyone recommend it, but from the N UK it looks attractively placed if heading SE.

Used it no problem about 3 years ago for entry.
Typical laid-back French airfield (ie good facilities, no much going on, minimal papework). When we were there there was some building work, so temporary buildings were in use. It was a hot and hazy day, we were glad of our GPS, and we were very glad to take off our immersion suits.
Just one guy in attendance, having a French speaker in our party helped a lot.
I guess just normal organisational prcedures still apply e.g. customs etc.
Cheers
