Funny, the only bits that give trouble on my RV are the cowls,THEY are ugly........ and composite !!
They certainly haven't stood the test of time as well as the rest of the airframe, but the pilot gets better looking every year!

HI JC

Nothing wrong with metal aircraft in environment where efficiency is not too important and you can afford a big dinosaur engine to lug the weight around. CP gets 40 mpg+ out of this machine, I get 41.5 MGP out of mine, what do you get, and is that Mogas or that very expensive lead poisoning Avgas stuff?

I get about 25mpg at nearly 200mph or nearly 30mpg at 140mph.I can carry 2 adults,2 tents and all camping equipment.
Alternatively I can carry 1 fat b***ard,1 tent,1double bed,1 double sleeping bag,clothes,windsock,6gnomes,12 bunches of flowers,8 metres of fence panels, tie down kit, dvd player, camping fire, saucepan, frying pan, eggs bacon, beans and tomatoes, bread and cheese and don't forget the pork pie and mustard!
Then when I get there I can aerobat it once I've built camp!
There is more to life than efficiency.
P.S. I don't drive a Smart car iether.

With all those tasty breakfast materials to hand, I would hope you have a toilet fitted JC. I understand the international space station have a part used one available that needs a little work. Should go in the RV a treat!! :D 8)

I will admit to having a plastic plane a couple of years back, and to be honest it was a great plane, but it made the gnomes anxious,as one of them said to me.... " how would you like to fly round in a plane made from skin and bone?"
