Spamfield - The Wight Party 2008

Post by BJ » Sun Mar 23, 2008 2:27 pm

Spamfield - the Wight Party 2008 will be at Sandown Airport over the weekend 13th to 15th of June.

The event is a huge social gathering of mainly UK but also international microlight aircraft.

The event is open to all sub 450kg aircraft (belonging to any association not just the BMAA - as always).

Other aircraft have been known to get in too subject to space being available.

You can register for the event at http://www.bmaa.org/event.asp?EventID=426 if you wish to attend. Before too long a pre pay (discounted) registration will be available if you visit the BMAA online shop - I will flag up when this is available. Prepay attracts a 25% discount.

Big marquee
Food
Beer
Kareoke
Speakers on different subjects
Meet old frields and make new ones.

Enjoy the banter of hundreds and hundreds of like minded people all in the one place with aircraft of just about every type..

Pay on the day £20.. register in advance £15

Includes all camping and facilities - stay all weekend or just for 5 minutes.. its the same fee..

You will even get a sticker (and not be charged for it!!)..

..I say again - like always.. open to BMAA, LAA, BRC - anyone who flys (sub 450kg and others if space).

The event will be notam'd

John,

Great to here this event is still on - I understood Sandown was facing closure - for how long will the airfield remain useable?

Regards,

Paul.
