The Reds 'start' tomorrow, April 1st - let's "let the public watch" this year without the bad press of "called off" displays and all the physical danger of an interruption mid-display.

The NOTAM sounds fierce, but West Wales (Aberporth) are generally very happy to give PPR. There are lots of airfields that require that, so don't be put off phoning and asking - they'll probably simply tell you to radio them 10 mins away to check all's OK. If the UAVs are airborne, by all accounts it's fairly rare, then Haverfordwest is a good alternate, and Llanbedr a bit further up the coast should be coming back on line again soon.
When we went to Aberporth, they were desperate to see an aircraft! Lots of money has been spent on the airfield, and they have expansion plans too. If conditions are pleasant, the walk down to the sea is not too far (use the lane not the main road), and the Ship Inn (?) at the beach serves excellent fish and chips, plus other food. Might be worth checking on that out of season. When we went they stopped serving lunch at 2pm.
It's certainly one of the nicer places to go and do, rather than go and just sit in an airfield cafe.
