COVENTRY ATS FREQUENCY CHANGES
1. General
1.1 In order to provide increased Designated Operational Coverage (DOC) for Coventry’s
ATS frequencies and to reduce co-channel interference it is necessary to change
three existing frequencies.
2. Application
2.1 Between 0800 and 0900 UTC on 8 May 2008 the following changes will be made:
TWR – currently 124.800 – will change to 118.175MHz (DOC 25nm, 10,000ft)
RAD – currently 122.000 – will change to 123.825MHz (DOC 40nm, 15,000ft)
Note: Splitting from the night time band boxing on 119.250 cannot take place until the
frequencies have been changed over.
2.2 At a future date APP – currently 119.250 – will change to 136.150MHz (DOC 40nm,
15,000ft), however, this change is dependent on a French user moving to a different
frequency and they are currently experiencing technical problems with the change. A
further SI will be issued when this change takes place.
2.2 These changes are promulgated in the AIRAC cycle 5/2008 dated 8 May 2008.
2.3 A circular letter will be sent to local users, flying clubs and airfields in the area.
