Does anyone know if this aeroplane is being restored by a LAA member, I used to own the parts some years back and regretted having to let them go at the time, I believe they were under restoration at one time in the Bury St Edmunds area, but have been unable to find out anything more.
Can anyone help please
thanks

I remember reading about that. Here's an extract from the WestMidlands Strut's June 2010 newsletter:
A visit to Dunkeswell last week found a LAA member in the depths of the club hangar restoring an Evans VP1 into flying condition. His immediate job was on the VW engine that he was upgrading from the standard 1600cc to I believe an 1800cc model. The aircraft had been resident for quite a few years and bought from the proceeds of an estate sale. It had logged 80 hours since new and was named ‘Tilly 1’. The aircraft was 28 years old and claims to have crossed the Channel on two occasions. The restorer works at Exeter Airport and has a Nord in flying condition and also a very rare Chrislea LC 1 Airguard for which he needs a 65hp Walter Mikron engine. Chrislea Aircraft used to operate out of Exeter, and I reckon that this is the sole remaining example. So if you have an engine please let me know.
