Manchester CTR change (and LLR) 8/03/2012

Post by FlyOnTrack » Thu Jan 05, 2012 5:57 pm

The Manchester Low Level Route for VFR transits in between Manchester and Liverpool CTRs will have a slightly raised ceiling (1300' QNH), but the Manchester CTR itself will also reduce in size, both of these changes will come into effect on 8th March 2012. See http://www.caa.co.uk/docs/7/20111220Man ... Letter.pdf
I can see the LLR gets an extra 50' vertically, but perhaps a local can tell us what the CTR change means, as I'm not familiar with the current boundaries.
