'Biggles Biplane' on TV tonight

Post by Brian Hope » Mon Jan 23, 2012 5:33 pm

The BE-2 replica, often called the 'Biggles Biplane', that was restored to flying condition by Matthew Boddington and Steve Slater, is appearing on BBC East's Inside Out programme this evening at 7:30. It may also be shown in other areas, but will be available later on i-player.
Don't forget at 9:00 there is also a programme about microlights on BBC2, featuring the author of Propellerhead, Antony Woodward.

Thanks Brian

Well worth watching.

However, the link above didn't work for me but this one did.

Thanks for that link, a nice piece of work indeed.

IMHO so much better than the misleading stuff Beeb 2 had on the Round Britain Rally last night.

Yes I enjoyed it too, well done Steve and Matthew.
It was a shame that the Round Britain Rally programme seemed to want to stress the death, danger and poor reliability aspects, a rather long in the tooth attitude these days when microlights have improved to an excellent level of airworthiness. After they got that off their chests in the first 10 minutes or so, it was a good watch I thought.
