Rating Instructors and the PCS

Post by Dave Hall » Wed Apr 18, 2012 10:50 pm

Just a heads up in case it gets overlooked:-

I've just read IN-2012/071 from the CAA (or EASA) and wonder how this will affect the PCS. I don't know if the LAA is a Registered Facility, a Type Rating Training Organisation, a Flight Training Organisation (I assume not) or an Approved Training Organisation, or indeed if our instructors are regarded as being independent.

I note that after the LAPL comes into force, things change again, but it's not clear if this affects ab-initio training or rating renewals.

Anyone know yet?

Edited later: According to a PM (not the PM) we don't need to worry about this one - the LAA has it covered. I expect we will hear officially when it's all done and dusted. Dave.

Hi Dave,

Notice to Coaches 03/12 sent out yesterday to clarify that all LAA Coaches are part of the LAA Registered Facility/Approved Training Organisation.
