Olympics: airfields inside R112 wanting to fly circuits

Post by FlyOnTrack » Wed Jun 13, 2012 9:54 pm

Atlas Control say they have had only a handful of airfields within the Olympics Restricted Zone register to be able to fly circuits and be exempt from the airspace restrictions like flight plans (but will still need a particular circuit squawk each day). The closing date for applications from airfields is 1 July so if you own an airfield inside R112 or run a club at one, and the airfield hasn't yet applied, it's probably time to do so.
