Visit ATC Days this Autumn

Post by FlyOnTrack » Mon Sep 17, 2012 7:05 pm

There is a round of the much-loved and often over-subscribed "Visit ATC Days" coming up - see
http://airspacesafety.com/news/visit-atc-day-is-back
I do know more units will join in.

Just to point out that more ATC units have joined the list recently, so it may be worth a 2nd look. Also, at least 3 more are interested in the offering, but at the time of writing, are not actually on the list but may be soon (East Midlands, Teeside and Doncaster)

I've been in contact with Birmingham and they've been absolutely swamped without even having a date declared yet. There are so many requests, rather than individual replies which merely say 'thanks, we'll get back to you', I've volunteered to put a 2 or 3 week 'standby' on the main forums for them. They will answer individually when they have established a date, as applicants can be pretty sure emails have arrived if they don't bounce. They thank those for all the interest, and are very heartened by the demand, which they will note for the future - currently they do work with local clubs anyway for student visits through the year. Birmingham is now 'closed' on the ASI list as obviously the emails currently sent will provide the basis for the lucky ones.
(Coventry is still open...)

More now 'in' if you look at the list, eg: Prestwick Coventry and Blackpool, others still making final arrangements, also I'd be surprised if Solent/Southampton didn't join the queue shortly. I'm going to ask Bournemouth if they'd like to join in too.
