Proposed Air Strip, South Moor Farm. Planning Application.
Previous posting. http://services.lightaircraftassociatio ... f=5&t=3683
Thank you for previous comments and support.
I have now submitted a planning application for the proposed air strip.
Information below if you would like to support the application BUT
If the application is approved the strip will probably have planning restrictions on use, e.g. No training, no paying public, limits on number of movements, etc.
Strictly PPR, there will be farm animals on the strip when not in use; they will be moved off for expected arrivals.
The strip is just inside Fylingdales HIRTA. Suggest approach from South or East. The radiation has been known to affect electronic ignition systems of road vehicles.
If you would like to use the strip in the future please tell the planners why, e.g. staying at South Moor Farm B & B, visiting relatives, visiting Dalby Forest, visiting Scarborough, Whitby or Pickering.
There will be very limited facilities, no fuel, no café, and no bus service.
There are some walks from the strip and mountain bike routes in Dalby forest.

Re: Proposed Air Strip, South Moor Farm. Planning Applicatio
I have received a letter off North York Moors National Park Authority saying they had turned down the application but it has been appealed to the Secretary of State. The reasons and arguments the planners use against this type of application come pre-packed ready to use.
Now had he wished to put a windfarm there?
Good luck with your appeal Bob.
