shipping agents from the US to UK??

Can anyone recommend a shipping `agent` from the east coast of the US to the UK please !!!


Just purchased some 4130 tubing but the `agent` -the `seller` has recommended is way off the `mark`
He is wanting nearly $3000 dollars for shipping !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A company in Canada can ship for $800 for the same quantity of steel if i purchased it from them !!!

Needs to be sea freight as the tubes are 19ft long , not in any hurry for them just don,t like getting ripped !!

There are hundreds of shipping agents and consolidators in the US. Expect to pay $10-20 per cu.ft for shipping plus VAT, duty and ground transport either end for a minimum of 40-50 cu.ft.

Do I remember Big Misters as being LAA members that were shipping agents, or was that just for complete aircraft?

Big Misters are no longer on the scene following some controversy over VAT payments.

I had a quote from these people at about $10/cu.ft port to port. They can also arrange ground transport at the US end and import brokers on arrival.
