LAA Rally - BRING-A-BUDDY

Post by Cookie » Mon Jul 22, 2013 7:28 pm

Hi all,

I wondered if you might all be interested in promoting 'BRING-A-BUDDY' to the LAA Rally?

Here's the idea: it costs a tenner to enter the LAA Rally if you fly-in regardless of the number of occupants in the aircraft - so if there are qualified pilots or student pilots who would love to fly in but would like to experience it as a passenger first then why not bring them as your buddy? Alternatively, if you've flown in loads of time before you could help a new pilot find their way around the procedures.

May I start by listing three categories for you to add your names to:

1) Looking for a BUDDY - Pilots with a spare seat who would love to share the experience of flying in to the LAA Rally: please specify departure airfield and time, return time, number of spare seats;

2) Looking for a PILOT - Buddies who would love to attend the LAA rally by air - please specify your experience level (e.g. student pilot, 30 hours), location, and any special requirements, plus whether you're prepared to cost share or pay the entrance fee;

3) Looking for a MENTOR - For pilots who would love an extra set of eyes to LOOKOUT for other aircraft, and guidance finding their way through the rally procedures. Please specify departure airfield and time, return time plus any other considerations (e.g. tailwheel experience preferred).

Financial arrangements such as cost sharing should be discussed directly with the pilot once paired.

As always, your comments or suggestions are welcome. If you list your details below I will add them to this post. Looking forward to seeing you all at the LAA Rally. I will be on the LAA stand on Sunday.

All the best,

Cookie
