I thought it might be of interest to people here as it does appear to offer a safer alternative to the cheap USB chargers. They are asking for expressions of interest and comments prior to manufacturing.
My observation to him was that a panel mount version with two front and two rear outlets might allow tidier wiring to any permanently mounted devices.

This may be a more practical solution: http://bit.ly/1p7Gj87 and certainly a lot cheaper. We're using 2 in our Eurofox.
It could be argued that utilising a microprocessor adds complexity and weight, and if 24v is needed then Aircraft Spruce offers a 24v to 12v device for a very modest sum (US$20?).
