Ballistic EVO4 series can be found at: http://www.ballisticparts.com/
Another LifePO4 can be found at:
http://www.hobbyking.co.uk/hobbyking/st ... ch=LifePO4
This Zippy Battery would be around 8Amp Hour and about £60.00
I mentioned in my earlier post that I had a cell down on my EVO4. Even with Battery Management System and a specialised Charger I have been unable to revive this cell. So beware. In fact its demise was that I had left 'Master' on and the battery drained down to less than 6V Total, 1.5 Volt per cell.
DO NOT FLATTEN BATTERY.
Supposedly you do not need a specialised Charger.
The weight of the Zippy batteries is around 1kg. The EVO is 500g.
Regards
Gerry

Take a look at this Q & A from a Company in USA that produces LiFePO4 for Aircraft.

Howard,
I managed to kill my first Shorai battery by discharging it too much. The second one though has given me excellent service and I must have had over 250 engine starts out of it. It is charged by the alternator on the Hirth F23 engine. I bought it from Carrot Cycles.
