"Pilots' Paradise" in Portugal - an idea

Post by 2greens1red » Mon Aug 25, 2014 8:01 am

Would anyone be interested in "basing" their aircraft in Leo Sayago's "Pilots' Paradise" at Monte do Lago, near Lisbon (1hr by road) this winter on a shared-cost basis? October - March, say, to avoid the worst of what's on offer weatherwise back in the UK? Help with positioning the a/c, preferably over 2-3 days, would, of course, be offered.

Benefits include a superb location, very favourable climate, 550x20m runway, modest (but attractive) accommodation and hangarage costs, plenty of activities for non-flying partners/family, wide choice of low-cost off-season flights from the UK and economical car-hire.....see http://bit.ly/YThYrI Red-tape looks minimal, and ATC, in my experience, speak excellent English.

I'm particularly interested in a Eurofox / Kitfox / Avid, but could be equally keen on another taildragger.
