Help offered with aircraft recovery

Post by John Riley » Tue Sep 02, 2014 8:16 am

Here is a post a saw on the BMAA forum, not sure where to post this.

A White and red Evans EV1 "Tilly 1" has landed in a field near to my home. I'm assuming he had a problem on the way back from the LAA rally. If he needs help in recovering the aircraft please forward my details;

If you have the right to post on the LAA forum please cross post this.
Thanks
Laurie

John, on behalf of Lee H the owner of the VP1 in question, thanks for posting the BMAA topic on here.

I've spoken with Laurie and updated him on the current position regarding recovery.

Thankfully, no injuries and only some minor u/c damage.

Roger, Glad it turned out OK. I've been in that position myself and know what a stressful time it is.

Actually this is an ideal opportunity to remind others of the existence of "Stranded Flyer"

http://www.strandedflyer.net/

A network of aircraft owners/pilots prepared to offer assistance in situations such as this.

If anyone would like to offer their services then just register, the more the merrier and even if you aren't in a position to help out still go ahead and register as you will then be able to find help when you need it.
