Panshanger's last operational day is Friday 19 September. Go there before it closes. The Vimeo on their website is inspirational

Re: Goodbye Panshager
Sad times. But the fight is not yet over. there is a large group of local residents and aviation enthusiasts who are campaigning actively in support of the airfield, to get it removed from the local development plan and to bring it back into operation. Not much we can do individually perhaps but small actions may help. See http://panshangerpeople.org.uk/
The local newspaper, The Welwyn and Hatfield Times, is running an on line poll with the simple question "Would you like to see Panshanger Airfield stay open". At the moment this is showing 47% yes and 53% no. One of the local NIMBYS has posted a gloating message saying that even with the "Flash Mob" trying to highjack the poll there is still less than 50% support.
I don't regard myself as part of a flash mob but part of a large group of concerned aviators. It is a simple thing to click on

and vote.
Although this in itself may seem meaningless, there are upcoming council meetings and debates concerning local forward planning where no doubt one side or the other will make use of numbers indicating the level of support for their side. Take a moment, cast your vote.

ps Please cross post this to other aviation forums so everyone has the choice to support Panshanger, time is of the essence as they say
