At Last - Rochester submits plans for improvements

Post by Flying John » Thu Oct 02, 2014 6:52 pm

At long last after 15 years it looks like the light at the end of the tunnel has finally come into view for Rochester Airport.

The operating company (Rochester Airport Ltd) who were awarded a 25yr lease earlier in the year with the proviso that they make a planning application and develop the airfield with hard runway and new buildings has finally been made.

They are seeking supportive comments as there is still a well organised "anti" brigade - who have already started making objectionable comments because they were expecting the plan to be called in on Environmental grounds and it wasnt.

So have a look here for the story
http://www.rochester-airport.co.uk/Roch ... cation.htm

and if you can spare a few mins to send an email to :

[email protected]
quoting MC/14/2914

saying how wonderful this is, then it will help smooth the process and help save another airfield from going under.
