You may or may not have noticed the new 'FASVIG' item on the main menu of the LAA website.
This takes you to this page: http://www.lightaircraftassociation.co. ... asvig.html
which contains background information on FAS (CAA's Future Airspace Strategy) and FASVIG (FAS VFR Implementation Group) plus links to FASVIG documents and other related material.
I would particularly like to draw your attention to the FASVIG 4 Feedback document:
http://www.lightaircraftassociation.co. ... edback.pdf
This is a working document generated out of the breakout sessions at the FASVIG 4 meeting but it also allows people to see the current state of play on the 'Packages of Change' we are developing for the FAS VFR Implementation Plan. These are the detail behind the 'Post-It' Notes from the October 2014 LAA Magazine FAS article, which can also be read here:
http://www.lightaircraftassociation.co. ... FASVIG.pdf.
Hopefully, you read this article in the magazine, but if not do read it now.
You may also find the FASVIG Information Sheet
http://www.lightaircraftassociation.co. ... 0Sheet.pdf
deserving of a couple of minutes of your time.
The 'Packages of Change' are not finalised so if you have any comments on the existing 'Packages' or good suggestions for additional issues we should address through FASVIG there is still time to submit them.
Also, as mentioned in the magazine article, we would appreciate assistance from people who can provide local knowledge to help develop a list of geographic areas in the UKFIR that are critical for VFR and also Controlled Airspace that is not being fully used for its intended purpose and hence ought to be changed for the benefit of VFR users.
Your comments, suggestions or offers to get involved can be posted here or emailed to [email protected]

A new dedicated FASVIG board has now been setup in the LAA Forum.

I have populated it with threads for each of the Packages of Change from the draft FAS VFR Implementation Plan.
Grateful for all your FASVIG-related comments over on that board. Please post them under the appropriate topic
