Sunglasses

Can anyone help me to locate a source for bifocal sunglasses which have a clear section at the bottom of the lens with a degree of magnification.
Thanks
Larry

Hi Larry,

Since the size of the writing on the half million maps has been getting increasingly smaller in recent years, I have had to resort to wearing glasses to see where I am going!!

I now have a pair of bi focal sunglasses which I bought from Specsavers and which I find very acceptable even on dull winter days. I don't know if they would do partly clear ones but it would be worth asking.

I use e bay for bi focal sunglasses as I tend to destroy any valuable ones.

Any decent optician will apply a graduated tint for you and most will adjust it of it isn't quite right first time, I find a brown tint is best.

I got my "reading sunglasses" from e bay, the top of the lens' are normal sunglasses and the bottom part has the magnifying portion and they are fantastic for glancing down at the map in your lap.

Thanks for suggestions. I have located an excellent source via E bay which is Sunafex.com of Haywards Heath. Top quality and only £16.99 incl postage. You can even look into the sun and not be dazzled, and yet map reading is a doddle. Larry.
