GAA Launches Airspace Changes

Post by John Brady » Fri Mar 27, 2015 8:08 pm

As part of the Future Airspace Strategy VFR Implementation Programme, the General Aviation Alliance is sponsoring 2 airspace changes in the South of England.

The first proposes to change the classification of Airway Q41 from Class A to Class D below FL80 to improve the safety of aircraft flying VFR between the UK and the Channel Islands and France. The second proposes to release the lower 500ft of Solent CTA-6 to Class G to improve the safety and efficiency of aircraft flying VFR immediately to the East of Southampton.

The consultation documents are hosted on the Light Aircraft Association website.
