Farnborough airspace proposal
TAG Farnborough has considered the comments of stakeholders regarding their initial ideas on their airspace change proposal and have published their reconsidered approach. The change proposal was lodged with the CAA on Friday 3rd July. Relevant documentation can be found here:
www.consultation.tagfarnborough.com
Part E of the document is the relevant part for recreational GA - it doesn't make good reading I'm afraid.

I do agree if the CAA accept their bid they will end up with more Class D airspace than Gatwick .
It should be noted that Farnborough's traffic is almost exclusively NOT public transport but in the main GA.

I think it's all GA as I seem to remember there's a restriction of no commercial

Re: Farnborough airspace proposal
The ACP says that only representative organisations can respond, will the LAA be responding?

Re: Farnborough airspace proposal
I spoke briefly with John Brady on this yesterday after an LAA board meeting and he has a discussion arranged with other involved representatives early next week. Of course LAA will be responding, if permitted as proposed it will have an enormously detrimental effect on recreational GA over a very large area.

Re: Farnborough airspace proposal
The revised airspace west of Farnborough with the 1500ft and 2000ft bases looks to me like a serious infringement hot-spot.

Farnborough ACP Put On Hold
http://www.gethampshire.co.uk/news/loca ... s-10425853
Plans which could change to the way air traffic is controlled in north Hampshire have been put on hold, TAG Farnborough Airport has revealed.
At a Farnborough Aerodrome consultative committee meeting, held at Rushmoor Borough Council offices on Thursday November 5, Roger Walker, director of airport operations for TAG, said the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) wanted longer to look at the impacts the changes would have.
......
......
The plans have now been delayed indefinitely....
He said: “The CAA are not happy enough consultation has been done over flexible airspace sharing with recreational aviation users and want us to reexamine how this will be done.”

I suspect this issue has not gone away. Tag are unlikely to roll over that easily. We should look out for "the Great Airspace Grab Ver 2"
