Mass Take Off - Dunkeswell World Record Attempt

Apologies if this is in the wrong section.

Some of you may be aware that Jim Greenshields of Somerset Microlights is organising a "Mass Take Off" World Record attempt. The record for the most aircraft to take off in 1 hour is 87 and Jim wants to smash that and get 150 a/c in the air in the hour.

It's taking place at Dunkeswell on Saturday 8th August at 15:00 hrs (with a contingency on the 9th) and the Devon Strut is hosting the Fly In for the event. Anyone can take part as long as you've a valid licence and the aircraft has a permit or CoA.

There is a Facebook page set up which has the briefing and contact details should you wish to take part.

The BBC will be filming and there will be various magazines there taking photos. It would be great if we could get as many LAA members there as possible.

Cheers,

Chris.
