I had a medical issue and had to have treatment, that is now OK and I have a certificate till 2017. Just wondering what I need to do to get flying again? Sold my aircraft and now looking for a replacement.
I have an insurance quote.
Thanks for any advice.

Re: Renewing a licence
It will probably depend on when you flew last Ian.
Also, is your BFR still current ? But in any case, the Instructor who renews your BFR will probably enlighten you further .
I'm sure that nice chap, Irv Lee could give you a pointer or two. He does post here occasionally.
I know that there are plenty of others here with infinitely more knowledge than I .
Get up there quick mate,,,while there's still a bit of Summer left.

Re: Renewing a licence
Ian,
If you've allowed your currency to lapse (i.e. not done the requisite 12 hours in the last 2 years) you'll need to take a GFT with an approved examiner - I've used the CFI of our local club.
If it's merely out of currency for the last 90 days you just need a QFI check flight to re-establish currency.
Best wishes and happy landings,
Harry
