Lamberhurst Airfield

Hi All

Thinking of visiting friends in Wadhurst near Tunbridge mid September. Looking for current contact info for Lamberhurst Airfield. Anyone? Or an alternative field nearby.

Many Thanks

I've driven past that strip a few times, it's right beside the A262. I have no idea if there is much activity there these days and they don't seem to have any details published anywhere. If it operates as a "28 dayer", then they may not be that pleased to see you anyway.
Old Hay and Laddingford I believe are in the Farm Strip Guide and you'll probably have more luck there. Headcorn is probably the most accessible and contactable of airfields in that vicinity.

If you do call at Lamberhurst and then go on to Headcorn to refuel , make sure you're all legit. though

Thanks Chris

Old Hay looking pretty good. Very easy to locate being next to the railway line :|

Lamberhurst is definitely PPR and is prone to water logging in the winter months. If Headcorn is nearby it would be a better option especially after all the current rain.
