PilotAware update

Post by ColinC » Mon Dec 28, 2015 9:22 am

Hi,

I don't think that the PilotAware team can post here directly, but I thought it worth copying their latest newsletter as it seems they are close to finalising the new hardware.

Regards,

Colin

Christmas Greetings from PilotAware

It’s that time of the year when flying generally takes a back foot due to the windy and inclement weather, but also a time when we are allowed to engage in the joys of the festive season which is one of the pleasures in life. For you, whether it’s Christmas, Hanukkah, Bodhiday, Yule, Zarathosht Diso, Diwali (a bit late), or just eat drink and be merry, may we, at PilotAware, wish you the very best for you and your family at this festive time and a very prosperous and happy New Year.

2015 was a very special year for PilotAware, for our dedicated supporters, interested followers and those who just know that its a slam dunk great idea. During the year you helped us turn our passion to provide a high quality low cost positional awareness capability into something that will be available for all and not just those who can afford high ticket price technology or are capable of DIY A level electronics.. Over the last 12 months, we really have been knocked out by the support that we have been given by Beta Trial builders, forum members, aviation authorities such as LAA, BMAA, BHPA, FASVIG, GasCo, and others. Thank you very much.

2016 looks to be equally exciting. We have just received certification data from the suppliers of our new purpose built and higher power transmitter and receiver. We now need to verify the results with our European testers and if the test results are confirmed we will be on target to produce units for sale in the New Year, ready for the 2016 flying season. Roll on the good weather and some new flying adventures.

So may we wish you a great holiday and a happy new year.
