South Moor Farm. Dalby Forest air strip. More support please.

The third appeal against NYMNPA decision to refuse my planning application for
an air strip at South Moor Farm has started.

Information below if you would like to support the application BUT

If the application is approved the strip will probably have planning restrictions on use, e.g. No training, no paying public, limits on number of movements, etc.

Strictly PPR, there will be farm animals on the strip when not in use; they will be moved off for expected arrivals.

The strip is just inside Fylingdales HIRTA. Suggest approach from South or East. The radiation has been known to affect electronic ignition systems of road vehicles.

If you would like to use the strip in the future please tell the planners why, e.g. staying at South Moor Farm B & B, visiting relatives, visiting Dalby Forest, visiting Scarborough, Whitby or Pickering.

If you have examples of air strips supporting wildlife, not damaging local ecology please mention them.

There will be very limited facilities, no fuel, no café, and no bus service.

Taxi service may be available or local friends, family or colleagues could pick you up.

There are some walks from the strip and mountain bike routes in Dalby forest.

Strip is currently available for use up to 28 days/yr. Visiting pilot Information at;-
