Carb/throttle spring

Post by mumdad696969 » Tue Apr 12, 2016 11:23 am

Hi all. I'm after some advice on throttle springs , I have a jab engine & a standard push pull throttle. But unless I lock it every time I adjust the power setting. It gradually powers up . This is OK in cruise as I simply twist & lock to keep the revs stable. But when landing etc. When I throttle right back. It quickly creeps forward to almost cruise revs. Tricky on finals when your busy with other things. I've tried stretching the spring . & it's a standard jab spring for a jab carb. Any ideas ? Even taxiing is an issue as it lunges forward if I'm not careful. Thanks in advance
