Flying in Italy

Post by johnkempton » Thu Jun 02, 2016 9:26 pm

Does anybody have an "Aide Memoire" for Italian Radio Calls - Arrival and Departure for use at small airfields as I am going to a Fly Party in Italy soon and a Translation sheet would be very useful .

Thanks

John

Hi There John,
I would have a trawl through some of your previous posts mate . :D

Having made in excess of 16.7 million of 'em , there must be a reference somewhere to flying in Italy.
Kindest regards Chris [ very, very, very junior forumite]

I'd take screen shot of that before they fix it :D

Nick Allen is a regular to Italy and may be able to help? He does post over here, but it is not his regular haunt.

I go to Italy quite often, and speak a little Italian, but I've only flown GA as a passenger...and I don't think the guy made any calls -- it was a quiet day at the strip(!)

However, I know a couple of Italian pilots, so I can see what I can dig out from them.

Or, if you go to the Flyer forum, track down African Eagle (aka Riccardo), I'm sure he would be happy to help.

Best, Nick
