I can vouch for her accounts of busting rules and airspace, I've heard them first hand. The whole speech was given in a manner that might have impressed a church hall meeting of the WI but in front of professional aviators it was cringeworthy. Apparently though it was all someone else's fault because "We didn't know. We just didn't have the charts".

If she really flew like that and it's not all made up to impress a gullible public it can't be long before she has another accident/incident or causes one.

Steve Slater's comment was to do with it being given because they thought it had been a solo effort (not a surprising thing to believe at the time), when in fact that was not the case.
