sky demon light

Post by cpwoodford » Fri Mar 24, 2017 8:14 pm

hi, as a new member, I'm sure this must have been discussed before, but I can't find it.
Basically, it's about trying to download sky demon light, getting the silverlight install, then nothing, so wondering what others have found, and how to solve it.
Many thanks, Chas

Chas
The SkyDemon Lite as far as I know it is the Web version so.....
From a Browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari etc.) enter URL http://web.skydemon.aero/
If you have Silverlight loaded it will continue to 'flash' screen to welcome you and then a Login or proceed to registration.

If you haven't got or have outdated Silverlight you will get screen notification. Just follow prompts.
It works with Mac OS X 10.6 and above and Windows from probably Vista so should be no problem. Linux Browsers too I think

So in summary. This is a web based version via Browser on most platforms.
It is very useful and routes can be saved to 'Cloud' and then downloaded to full SkyDemon on Tablet or Smart Phone. Its worth every penny to purchase SkyDemon.

Just a SD user for a long time.....

Hi Gerry, I keep trying but it doesn't get further than Silverlight failed to load. I guess I'll have to get a tech savvy son or daughter to do it. Thanks for your help anyway.
By the way, I note you live in Bath, my home town 1952 - 1969. I flew over it on Monday this week for the first time. As I was in awe at seeing the city for the first time, I overflew my actual house but didn't see it as it was directly below and I was in a Tecnam so couldn't see it. Oh well, will have to do it again sometime.

Regards, Chas

Hi again, I've just worked it out. Silverlight doesn't work in Chrome or Microsoft Edge but does in Internet Explorer which is the way to access it.
Thanks, Chas

I use Sky Demon Light all the time for my day job as a commercial drone operator. We use it on Ipad Mini's works a treat. However back in the office it will not work on Windows system for some reason.

Cheers
