My favourite place to fly, Weybourne on the North Norfolk coast, is NOTAMed with a hirta, as it was last summer. I know what a hirta is, (probably), but can't discover whether I am being overly cautious in not visiting. I don't plan to father any more children and I'd be happy to turn the radio off, also very keen not to spoil anyone else's day bearing in mind they have guns. Any ideas where I can find correct advice ?

Highly unlikely that any adverse affects will be experienced if flying through (or on the edge of) the HIRTA. HIRTAs are mostly of more interest to military aircraft and helicopters (flotation devices) that may have weapons on board that could be triggered/dropped/activated by spurious high intensity radio waves.
Of course, good airmanship should dictate not flying through the centre of a HIRTA, but that doesn't seem to be an issue for biz jets operation in/out of Farnborough and the Oakhanger HIRTA....
