Low cost Hangar

Mulling over the possibilities and just thought:

Has anyone constucted a hangar using concrete fencing posts and wooden panels for the sides?

I guess the issue would be tying the roof to the sides?

Any thoughts??

I like the idea, because of planning problems I had thought of building a fenced compound around my aircraft to stop sheep and cows using it as a scratching post. I do not need planning permission for fences up to 2 meters in height.
However if I put a roof over the compound it would require planning permission if any one noticed it.
I would support the roof trusses on l shaped brackets bolted to the fence posts. Easy if posts are wood not so easy if they are concrete.

Dewalt ( other makes available) SDS drill goes through concrete posts easy peasy as they say

Is planning permission required for a temporary fabric structure (tent)? If not, then perhaps a fabric roof over your concrete and wood fenced compound might do the trick. Popham has quite a few olive drab coloured "poly-tunnel" type hangars. I believe they are considered to be temporary type structures so don't need planning permission (I think).

You could inquire about planning permission for temporary fabric structure, using a nice commercial fabric building as an example, and then make your DIY shelter look similar.
