Rationalising PPL (D) microlight and NPPL (SSEA)

Post by oprince » Sun Mar 25, 2018 11:19 am

I am posting on behalf of a friend who has a UK PPL(D) mircolight and subsequently got a SSEA rating which is printed on NPPL licence.

Should the microlight rating have been transferred on to the NPPL?

Is it still possible to do this?

Is there any benefit or disadvantage of doing this?

For revalidation purposes, is it a case that following a single check flight, both the UK PPL (D) and NPPL (SSEA) licences can be signed by an instructor to meet the requirements?

Many thanks.

Hi Oliver,

Please ask the pilot to get in contact directly. My details on the LAA website under Pilot Coaching.

I would be happy to review his existing licences and ratings, and offer advice on the best route forwards.

Kind regards,

Jon
