Kitfox - Gap seal
Hi, I fly a Kitfox Mk2 as well as a glider. In gliders, the use of Mylar gap seal for the control surfaces is well understood and is used to reduce form drag and improve the effectiveness of the controls at low airspeed. I have read that using this gap seal on the Kitfox Mk2 aircraft helps to improve the rudder and elevator authority at low speeds particularly during landing run where the risk of ground loop is high. I would be interested to know what other Kitfox flyers have experienced.
