Firstly ChampChump I hadn't realised all this 'Woke' nonsense had got into aviation too.
Yes I'm seatist it seems! I feel suitably shamed......
No, carry on planning. I'd hate to be 'woke' in any sense. It's the past tense of a verb, damnit.

We solo pilots in two-seaters might sneak in when you're not looking.

I have taken the liberty of arranging a Fly In for all us lonely souls in LAA Single Seat Aircraft.
Details are in Forum 'Fly In' notices.
Single Seat Fly In at Sandown IOW - Saturday June 13th 2020.
Back up day if weather inclement - Sunday 14th June.
Sandown are reserving a parking area for single seat visitors.
e.g. VP1, Mini-Max, Taylor Monoplane, etc.
N.B. Aicraft registered as Single Seat with LAA

Sorry Mike.
Re. Sandown Fly In.
Seatism is a cruel legislative action and has to be strictly upheld.
I'm not condoning this suggested action but of course its possible that by mistake you could have popped into Sandown on June 13th to find a gaggle of seatism warriors parked in a segregated area for which you will be barred. Its a tough World when upholding rulings on single seat aircraft against those wayward types that fly singularly in what is obviously a two seat airplane!
You know it makes sense.....just behave and take it on the chin!
Seatism Rules OK.

Thats privileged information Mike! If I tell you you'll be shot on arrival.
You have one chance.....sell your 2 seat anti-seatism airplane.
In truth I have no idea which enclosure we will be in.
Reality is a temporary condition for me!

Well done for organising it and I'll see you there!
Shame you had to choose somewhere with such a bumpy runway though(or is it just my landings??)

As long as the enclosure is all Class G airspace and has cake and bacon butty feeding stations, that will be OK by me :D

A Short VP1 video,

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P9JREWmy1kk

Child #2 recorded this on his phone in Janurary, he's now stuck in isolation so edited it and put it on Youtube to entertain others also isolated. Nothing exciting happens, just VP1 happy times.

Daniel , you have brought your children up well . :D

It’s always good to see these old birds still airworthy and providing excellent grass-roots flying for their owner/builders . All for about sixpence ! [old money :D ]

I do hope that Michael , our OP watches this vid. It is also worth noting that it is still flown by the same guy who built it 40yrs ago . He obviously didn’t waste valuable building time looking for people to talk him out of his project either .
And there’s hardly a person in the country who doesn’t have “a bit of spare time” at the moment is there ?

Oh and Daniel,,,

I must contest that... 8)

OTOH Chris,

In the midst of a lengthy detailed Rans Annual Permit schedule, HMG have peruaded me it's anti-social to go out to do non real work away from home, particularly as at over 80 I'm supposedly "at risk". Thus that pleasurable therapeutic exercise has been put on hold.

However that beautiful Evans VP 1cameo video was a delight to watch, though their strip looks about as wet as any in Sussex !

With the sun & wind, Jackrell's is already dry enough in the centre 250 yds to use & it can be only a few days before I really must go there to chain harrow and shortly after give it its annual heavy roll. Or will such activiies also be frowned on as the stay at home dictum doesn'r appear to allow them ?

Happy Days, mike.
