I should be grateful if someone could help me with this query.
I recently applied to my GP for a LAPL Medical Certificate on the official form. The Doctor duly signed the application form and returned it to me. But now what? I have read and reread CAP1127P. The final box on the decision tree says "Report outcome to CAA by issue of Medical Certificate". I am unclear whether it is I who have to report to the CAA or it is the Doctor. He has not issued any certificate to me, just signed the application. Does that turn the application into a Certificate (it does not say so) or does the CAA issue the certificate? Do I have to go back and pester the GP for some sort of Certificate? There must be plenty of LAA LAPLs out there who know the answer but it is my first time.
My question is this: How is the certificate issued and who issues it?
No rush, these Covid days, I am sorry to say.

Re: Who actually issues a LAPL Medical Certificate?
The process is covered in:
https://publicapps.caa.co.uk/docs/33/CA ... Pilots.pdf
As far as I am aware, the GP should be able to issue the actual LAPL Medical
