Hi All,
Has anyone gotten a Super Emeraude approved for IFR?
Cheers

Re: Super Emeraude IFR
Hi All,
I had assumed that as it was in the list of aircraft that would likely be approved for night/IFR, there must be Super Émeraudes out there so equipped.
Various people have pointed out that the Super Emeraude is not exactly the most suitable aircraft for IFR and I am now thinking the list was more likely populated with permit types that had previously been C of A.
What permit aircraft at all have been approved for IFR to date?
Has anyone had any permit aircraft approved for IFR that aren’t the likes of a brand new RV with glass cockpit or some such, i.e. a more affordable type?
Thanks
Matt

Re: Super Emeraude IFR
Hi Matt, if you check out Technical Leaflet TL2.27 you will find a list of likely aircraft that may meet the criteria for night/IFR approval, and the Super Emeraude is included in the section of aircraft likely to be acceptable after further investigation.
If you are serious about proceeding, I suggest you read TL2.27 and TL2.28 to better understand the procedure for approval and then contact LAA Engineering to find out how best to proceed.
Best rgds, Brian.
