Airfield risk assessments

Post by Paul Catanach » Fri Sep 25, 2020 12:22 am

I really don't want to be opening this can of worms (and hopefully when I do it'll be empty) but has anyone ever had to conduct a risk assessment of an unlicensed (farm) strip?

I have somewhere the equivalent of this, when Richard was organising 95% of the fly-in at 'his' strip. If I remember correctly, there was nothing in it one wouldn't expect, but just a little extra layer of thought to cover the arrival of people who don't read everything thoroughly, IYSWIM. I suspect you'd come up with something similar yourself, too, given your background and experience. Happy to talk if you want.

Thanks Nic

Someone on t'other place kindly sent me a template that should do the job. Nothing has changed in 20 years but should someone wander on to the airfield and come to grief at least I'll have shown I cared (maybe :D ).
