New CAA Advice Confirms National Licence Holders Can Fly CofA Aircraft

Post by Steve Slater » Wed Jun 16, 2021 5:35 pm

New CAA Skywise Announcement has confirmed the previously temporary post-EASA exemption, enabling NPPL and LAPL holders to fly Certificated as well as Permit aircraft, has now been made permanent.

It's sometimes easy to be critical of the CAA, but credit to them for getting this one right!

LAPL holders have always been able to fly CofA aircraft. It would be very strange if a Part FCL licence was not valid to fly Part 21 aircraft.
