Jabiru Starter Motor origin.

Has anyone knowledge of the origins of the starter motor on the 80hp Jabiru engine please ? It is a Bosch unit made in Australia.Thanks in advance.

I think the starter motor is from an 88-92 Toyota Corolla ,Nippon Denso. Type "2-1065-ND-2 Corolla

There are two types. Neither better than the other if you get a good one. Most of the Jabiru chat/expertise is on the IO groups, if you post on there there will be loads of folk who know about the starters.
