Generally good, but I think a bit of basic info missing.
Should have put a graphic to explain air masses, most PPL's don't get sufficient teaching about that. Make the TAF, Synoptic and 215 all on the same day - then you can compare and contrast.
Taff not accurate - I beg to differ, but caveat. Long TAF's as given at big airports have a lot of variability as the big boys don't really care, they just get on with it. The smaller parochial airports that give short TAF's tend to be spot on these days. Also, if you are visiting places not covered with a TAF as we do from time to time in the 12, you need to compare and contrast the TAF's from upwind and downwind to get a feel for what to expect. or just give the place a ring and ask.....!

I agree. A potentially good article spoiled by the requirement of the reader to make huge leaps. I think the author guilty of overestimating the readers knowledge. Of course, it might not be that...might be the editing.
