NUMBER OF LAA AIRCRAFT PERMIT RENEWALS IS BACK TO PRE-COVID LEVELS AND BUCKING THE RECESSION.

Post by Steve Slater » Fri Dec 23, 2022 12:59 pm

The number of aircraft operated on LAA Permits to Fly at the end of 2022 numbered 2,752.

This ‘Permit Renewal’ figure which indicates active aircraft therefore aviation activity in the sector, was slightly higher than in 2021 and matches the number noted, pre-Covid, in 2019.

In addition, 93 new aircraft were issued with Permits to Fly for the first time in 2022, bring the total active fleet size at the end of the year to 2,845.

Said LAA CEO Steve Slater “It’s great way to end the LAA year, as our offices are now closed until Tuesday 3rd January. A happy Christmas and New Year to all!”
